What We Believe

The following will give you a flavour of what we believe:

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the only Saviour of the world.
  • We believe in the individual’s need to repent of sin, recognise the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross of Calvary and accept His provision of salvation, in order to be forgiven and inherit eternal life.
  • We believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, that he is alive today, and that he will one day come again.
  • We believe in the Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who are co-equal and co-eternal.
  • We believe that the Holy Spirit is active in the world, convicting people of sin, revealing Jesus and indwelling those who submit to Christ. We believe that the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to all believers and that the ‘fruit of the Spirit’ (as outlined in Galatians 5:22-23) should be evident in the life of the Christian.
  • We believe that the evil in this world comes from Satan, who deceives people and blinds them to the truth.
  • We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and we base our teaching upon it, seeking to live out the faith we profess.
  • We believe that local churches are vital in gathering and strengthening believers, and that they are used by God to impact local communities with the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are seeking to build a strong local church where everyone matters and each individual is loved, accepted, cared for and encouraged in their faith.
